TBM, Cold Weather, and Rolling Brownouts
I just got a call from my child's school system. They have been informed by the electric company that the high demand for electric during the cold snap will result in rolling brownouts that may affect our schools.
I am going to assume these rolling brownouts will affect EVERYONE, not just the schools.
I do not know if these brownouts will affect your ability to connect to TBM.
We have UPS backup systems that will continue to power the servers through any temporary interruption - but if the lines between us and our users suffer power interruptions then we may be unreachable for a while.
If that's the case you'll get a "taking too long to connect" message when you try.
Don't worry, we're still here and don't plan on going anywhere. Hopefully, the brownouts won't affect us at all. But I thought I'd give you a heads up so no one worries if you cannot connect.
