Color me 'skeptical'. I would really like to know exactly what they are claiming here. I am guessing they are talking about penetration on hard plate, as the 62 grain projectile has a steel penetrator tip backed by a bismuth alloy core. The Marines rejected the new M855A1 round in favor of their own MK 318 Mod 0 round. The Marine round uses a politically incorrect, non-'green' lead-core bullet. Go, jarheads!
