Default China to Build Up To 245 Nuclear Reactors

Looks like they understand what it takes to support an infrastructure.

The Chinese govt is proactive on the peak oil front. Doesn't take a genius to see that oil supplies will never be as high as they were in 2006, and the Chinese dream of becoming just like us. Happy motorists with suburban houses and x-boxes. Not gonna happen. But god bless em, they're gonna try.

This should not be a surprise, What else could they do? First they built so many Coal fired power plants that they couldn't mine enough coal to fuel them all, So then they started imported more and more coal till they overloaded their railroad systems. Now even if you don't, tell me you understand that because a big part of the irony is the we, through the UN, are paying China for building wind Farms and Hydro plants and solar power plants, Green Projects they would be building regardless because their growth is being constrained by lack of power,, therefore these green power projects are not in anyway reducing their carbon output from Coal fired plants NOT ONE IOTA,,

In China politicians don't have to act on the wishes of or listen to the people because the people in China don't vote.

And Oh yeah, Nuclear power is cheaper than coal power,

This is smart in a several ways. First, they see the French example and are out to copy it. France generates over 80% of their electricity in nuclear plants. Second, there is no doubt that any deal they work out with western nuclear power equipment suppliers will include some technology transfer. In a few years, they will be producing their own reactor vessels, and selling them to other nations. This will help them not only economically, but diplomatically. It will also be another point of leverage on the West diplomatically when they sell reactors to some bad actor like Burma, Venezuela or Syria, and we make big concessions to get them to agree to kill the deal.

I am thinking I will investigate and list new Australian Uranium
discoveries and start-up mines .
Perhaps there are still a few good deals to be found .

There is a Canadian company I like called Pinetree Capital, Ltd. They are an investment firm that has a range of resource holdings, including uranium, coal, natural gas industrial metals, rare earths and PMs. They are traded on the Toronto exchange under the symbol 'PNP'.

Thankz 06 .

To be honest I am becoming very wary of holding shares in anything .

It seems to me that as countries become insolvent their governments
tend loot their own populations on the way down rather than face bankruptcy .

Your neighbour in need becomes your worst enemy .

The only good news is that the powerful tend to own shares so their is
strong resistance to looting of all asset classes .
