All the Reactor Fuel being Removed from Irans Bushehr Nuclear plant.
News reports imply that removing the fuel assembles after only 3 months of operation is an unusual, unplanned activity and no doubt very expensive but the Russians are insisting that it be done. kinda sounds like "the cake has fallen", possibly due to a uneven thermal flux profile in the core? I doubt we'll be told the the real skinny on this.

Upon Russia's request, the fuel will be removed from the reactor core of Bushehr nuclear power plant in order to conduct a number of tests and carry out technical work, Ali Asghar Soltanieh was quoted as saying by ISNA news agency. |

Any number of reasons possible to power down a new startup. Determine fuel consumption rate, effects on containment structures, efficiency studies. Too little info to make something insidious out of it.

Something is not right with the fuel assemblies, could be excessive vibration.
They're not saying and it's not just a shut down, After just three months they're removing all of the fuel. It ain't right.
But then again, the Russians might be homesteading the project?

I am betting sabotage by an Israeli asset at the Russian plant that built the fuel assemblies. Just a guess on my part, but it is just the kind of thing the Mossad would try to do.

Maybe they're aware attack is imminent and wish to reduce impact of any fall-out.

I was thinking stuxnet thoughts, also. Since its reported effects can include playing false data out to technicians looking at sensors, maybe the Russians can imagine problems they now must do a direct examination of fuel rods and such to evaluate?
