Missing 5-Year-Old Jhessye Shockley

There are several striking similarities between the disappearances of 10-month-old baby Lisa Irwin and 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley. Both children are girls, both were last seen in their homes. Lisa has been missing for over a week, Jhessye has been missing for nearly a week. Police investigating both cases have been challenged by strings of dead-end tips and a lack of evidence in general. The mothers of both Lisa and Jhessye have made tearful televised pleas for their children's safe return.

Right about now you may be wondering why you haven't heard more about Jhessye Shockley, or maybe even why you haven't heard of her at all, when Lisa Irwin's story has been plastered all over the news.

The fact of the matter is, you probably haven't heard much about Jhessye Shockley because of the one striking difference between her and Lisa Irwin:

Lisa Irwin is white. Jhessye Shockley is black.

Daddy is in jail in Cali, mom has been in jail and now lives here. Daddy is a registered sex-offender, mom lost her kids when her and the BF were busted for child abuse. She was left home alone by mom to be watched by a 13yr old, with a 9 and 6 year old also. Glendale P.D. was called in hours after she went missing and the only lead was that someone saw a woman in her twenties in the area in maybe a white Malibu type car put a small girl in the car, but the girl seemed to be willing to go along. Thats it.

Law Enforcement spent 3 days searching the neighborhood and came up empty. No other leads, no sightings, no nothing. An Amber alert was issued and the AZ child abduction task force was activated, but they turned up dick.

I will also note that in the case of the 10 month old, it was initially reported that she was abducted, stolen out of her own home, whereas the child in Glendale appears to have wandered away. We have nothing after that to go on.
