I'm ashamed to say I never gave a moment's thought to all that debris. My eye & mind were more caught up in the horror of what was happening ashore.
It makes sense though - not all of it will sink & in crossing the width of the Pacific, it's bound to disperse widely. It will be interesting to see what does wash up & where.

It's very likely that that debris island will contain numerous body parts, too. Yippee.

After 2 years? There might be some bone atop or caught in other debris but that's unlikely.

Oh, I thought you meant when the debris starts washing shore - sorry, wrong assumption on my part. Yes, no doubt there are still bodies & parts trapped in the debris field.

Well sorry from me because it just occurred to me what you were saying--that it will hit in two years. Duhhhhh. A little slow witted today.

Been one of those days...LOL I'm having to double check what I THINK people are trying to say to me & I'm not doing well for listening/reading comprehension.
I'll blame it on a poor night's sleep. Some blithering idiots in the park were open air partying loudly & the police were too busy with more serious calls to respond quickly.

I wish I had a good excuse.
Just one of my Blonde days, which seem to be increasing in number and frequency.

Bodies and body parts will be long gone.
But, it does give scientist a chance to study ocean currents.
Make lemonade with lemons.
