Russian whistle-blower beaten to death in jail: council

A reporter accuses two tax officials of embezzlement. The two officials have the reporter arrested, tortured and beaten to death by police in jail. The story is all over the newspapers. Everyone knows what happened and who is responsible for the murder of the reporter. The government refuses to take any action.

Russia as a real state is a sick joke. You find the same lack of enthusiasm for investigating crimes in the murders of or assaults on human rights activists, the racial assaults and i vaguely remember an attorney for some foreign company dying in jail and there has been the odd swindle with oil contracts.
The only hopeful sign from Russia is russians booing Putin.

Russia is now run by a partner ship of corrupt politicians, a corrupt FSB (former KBG), and the Russian mob.

We are not quite as far along as Russia, but we are certainly headed down the same road.
