Except a Romney win could guarantee an Obama win.

As opposed to Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich?
Romney seems to have the best chance to get the moderate Republicans and independents. I have seen the detailed breakdown yet: race, income, sex, etc. yet but that is what going to point to his ability to win.
Newt is way to conservative to win. Sure, he is going to get the hard core right and the people that will pull the large Republican lever no matter who was running.
Paul? He has some good ideas (small government) but some of his other ideas are fairly wild and he has to combat the racial issues of his past newsletter.

There are signs for Ron Paul all over around here. I saw a few Perry signs last month, but nothing for Romney, Gingrich or Santorum. I am very surprised RP only got 7%.

I know some guys running for RP offices.
The RP really has some research going. They know exactly where the "battleground" states, counties, cities, whatever for the office being contested.
They know which offices they really have a chance at. No money for "no way in hell" elections although they may run a place holder.
If there is no chance their candidate will win, they won't spend a dime there.
Nothing special here, the DP does the same thing.
I would guess that Romney, Gingrich and Santorum knew that someone had sewn the county up and they didn't waste the money. RP has a lot of grass root volunteers so all it cost them were some signs.

I don't know Romney at all, But judging from the few debate videos
I've watched, there's something about him that makes me feel
he's not authentic. like, normal people don't act like that.
Over Stimulated.

Just the opposite. The CANDIDATES have been here - all but RP. They've visited local schools and churches repeatedly in the last year. Even Biden visited a nearby school a few months ago. Less than 50% of the registered Republicans came out to vote in the Primary, and of those our country was typical of the state as a whole - Romney 40%, Gingrich 30%, Santorum with 15% and RP taking slightly less than 9%. Maybe RP supporters are more vocal but I am really surprised he didn't do a lot better here, seeing the level of support (literally) on the street.

From a 1/27-28/12 USA Today/CNN poll ( as reported on pollingreport.com)
Obama/Romney: 48%/48%
Obama/Gingrich: 53%/41%
Obama/Paul: 49%/46%
Statistically speaking, Ron Paul is tied with Obama, thus showing he could have a fighting chance
Gingrich is still unelectable.

Relatively and statistically speaking, women do not like Gingrich—he has Clinton's baggage without Clinton's (fake) contrition and (sleazy) charm. His goose came precooked, and Romney's money advantage makes it a deep overdone brown.
I would give a significant anatomical portion to see Paul elected president, but it's not going to happen in the degraded America we live in today.

A Mitt Romney nomination will split the Republican party into a Democrat-Lite Party and the TEA Party, and Obama will be re-elected.
