Just curious, what are your thoughts on this, attending a class for Tactical and retreat security. I happen to run across his videos last night and started watching. Apparently, he was in the military. Maybe I can find out more about his background if I search a little deeper.
I don't know what his military experience is that would qualify him as a survival expert, but he sounds like a typical prepper and he says he has a network of like minded people in South Carolina.

My question: would you attend a class like this in your local area? My thoughts: it might be interesting to attend a class such as this (if nothing else) to meet like-minded people. Apparently, he is going to be speaking at a conference in March. I am trying to get more information about that.
He is going to teach you a tactical class without using firearms or ammo, in 8 hours? No thanks. Defensive postitions in the same time frame, Ill pass on that too. I spent 6 weeks in Infantry Training School, after Boot Camp, just to learn the bare basics, then spent the next 4 years really learning the craft. I am just not hearing the words I want to hear, (and I'm sorry, but there is a lingo that I just dont hear from him, that I've come to expect from someone who knows their stuff) and I just dont see it in his face.
Training is crucial, but this doesn't pass the smell test to me.

Yeah, they have a very impressive set up for sure. And I think they are very smart to form alliances with other families as well. It appears they have enough training and firearms to defend their area. What did that guy say: "I have an AR-15 for each family member."
I don't disagree with the way they live. It is a Good Thing to raise your own food and get off the grid and become as self sufficient as possible.
BUT
See that ninja? He's a smug prepper. See Indiana Jones? He's the fire bombing of Dresden and Tokyo and the nukes landing on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Prepping isn't a bad thing, but history and current technology tell us that no matter how much prepping you do, you're still going to be bringing a knife to a gun fight.
