Default Maths education sequencing

I was always bummed I didn't go further in the maths courses. Obviously I finished "College Algebra" for my University degree.

However, if you were going to self educate, what sequencing would you do?

Geometry?
Algebra
Trig?
Calc
Linear Algrbra?
Diffi Q?

Where would Finite Math fit?

Symbolic Logic?

Yes, I know what the University would say, how they are ordered in the Course Catalog. I say not necessarily.

Education method would be a cross of Khan Academy, online university courses, and purchasing university text books.

Geo and Trig always go together in my mind.
The rest, fit them in whatever way makes most sense for you....with Khan or other free stuff, like MIT online, start the course, if it no workee for you, drop back a notch, if it is easy, add more at the same time.

I love self study!

In high school we had Algebra Freshman year, Geometry Sophomore year, Trig was Junior year, and Calculus was Senior year.

As someone with a B.S. in Mathematics I would say the sequence you gave is about right. Geometry could be put down after trig or later. It depends on what your goal is to some extent. The reason for the order Algebra, Trig., Calculus, Linear Algerbra, Diffi Eq is because you need the knowledge of the previous course for the most part. Logic can be anywhere in the sequence and finite math if I remember right, could be in there anytime after Linear Alg. I might point out that I had no high school math at all, had Algebra 1 in 8th grade. Entered college 18 yeas later and started with a math course 1 step below college algebra, no credit, and continued with all the math courses offered.
