More pets died on Delta than any other airline

More pets died on Delta Air Lines than on any other carrier last year, according to data released by the federal government.

A half-million pets fly each year, according to statistics complied by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Out of 35 pets that died on airlines last year, 19 died on Delta flights. That's up from 16 the previous year.

Gross numbers don't tell a thing. How many deaths / flight? If Delta has a significantly higher number of annual flights than any other carrier, you would expect more deaths. Its also possible Delta gets more stupid passengers that don't tranq their pets before a flight.
