I went out & had a look - absolutely stunning. Hope it's clear tomorrow night... would love to see it again with the bodies that tightly together.

Venus Meets Jupiter 3 degrees apart March 13th

Now, everywhere I see this info posted, it mentions that "NASA says this conjunction may be actually physiologically mesmerizing".
What is meant by that? To be mesmerized is a psychological phenomenon, isn't it? How can it be "physiologically mesmerizing"?

Thanx for that article, Drum. I've been thoroughly enjoying walking out in the evenings & staring & staring at these 2 beauties. I THOUGHT Jupiter was changing positions rapidly - took the article to confirm it. Venus seems to glow brighter every night. We're in for a lovely week with inclreasingly mild night temperatures. Tonight is the last night it will be below freezing all week & it won't drop below 30. Spring is in the air & balmy twilights gazing at shining planets is right up my alley.
