This article suggests that US fighter jets shot down
a US drone . I realize this is old news but is it correct , did they ?

I would expect electronic identification systems to make this
virtually impossible.

Only one? I am surprised.

When a fighter pilot is given orders to loiter over an area and someone enters the "kill box" they are going to shoot it down.

Bad to lose such expensive kit but sh*t happens in warfare.

(remember the story how terrorists had compromised drone control/IFF? Few years ago, dont remember exactly)
