I had a colonoscopy done in March and took a regime of pills, like 30 some over 6 hour period, 24 hours before the procedure to clean out my system. Nothing nasty to drink. Not bad at all. My gastroenterologist said the CT scan was 30% less accurate and thus insurance companies would not pay for it.

That's great! I know that was being worked on. But I like the propylene glycol cocktail before my colonoscopy!!!

(NOT! Ugh.)

Ew. The whole deal is annoying, but it's only done every 5 or 10 years and so it's not a huge hassle. Had my first one a year or so ago. Dreaded it, but it was no biggie.

Do you remember the name of the pills? I'm supposed to have a colonoscopy because of family history and every time I try to drink the liquid it comes right back up. If I could take pills it would be a lot easier on me. I take around 20 meds a day now and few more would even be noticed.
