Default Deviled Eggs

Got any favorite recipes?

I usually add mayo, garlic, salt/pepper and a touch of curry then sprinkle the top with paprika.

A little trick for filling: Take a piece of waxed paper or parchment and make a cone out of it. This can be a little tricky but I usually fold the paper into a triangle then bring all three corners together to form the cone. Fill with your filling mixture then roll the top down to press the filling toward the tip. Clip off the tip to the size you want then keep rolling down the top as you fill the eggs. It really makes quick work of the job. If you have icing tips around, you can put a decorative tip into your paper cone, fill then clip the end and push the tip into the opening as you roll the cone from the top to fill the eggs.

A little touch of onion powder here instead of curry. But paprika is a must!

Mayo, sweet pickle juice, dry mustard, S&P. Hungarian Paprika on top. I just use a zip lock bag as a piping bag. Just snip off a corner. Easier, faster, and easier to fill than a cone. Works great when making filled pasta's too.

Mayo, tbsp of muffaletta or finely diced stuffed green olives, minced onion, hot dog relish or dijon mustard.

Or, mayo, minced onion, bit of anchovy paste, bit of dijon.

That's the stuff.....I get jars of Giuliano at Cash & Carry. It goes into my macaroni salad, spaghetti, and devilled egg sandwich mix. Guess some people make sandwiches with it, too! :-)

I mix the yolks with salsa. If it needs a bit more kick, I add chipotle tobasco and/or paprika.

Btw, instead of wax paper, I put my filling in a ziploc bag, cut off the corner and fill my eggs that way.

(Off to check out the muffaletta recipe . . .)

I crumble the yolks and add a dash of pepper, Miracle Whip, a good squirt of French's yellow mustard and blend it together in the stand mixer so it gets nice and creamy.

Mayo and mustard. My son likes them simple. I like to add a little dill relish and a sprinkle of paprika.

Muffaletta sounds good!!!

I never use Miracle Whip; it's way too sweet. The secret to great devilled eggs is a touch of vinegar, imo. And plain yellow mustard. Nothing with chunks.

My best recipe: cooked yolks, mayo, mustard, garlic powder, salt, vinegar, dill. Paprika on top.
