The United Nations’ uneasy peace
An excellent article detailing some of the garbage that comes out of the UN & how increasingly, countries are withdrawing from various UN agencies because of disconnects with reality. One example - Robert Mugabe has been named a "UN tourism ambassador" prompting Canada to withdraw from the UN tourism office. I think we can campaign for tourist dollars quite well without his help. Syria is allegedly campaigning for a seat on the UN Human Rights body - it gets weirder:
