Survey: French Men Say They Need Bigger Condoms
BERLIN — The French say they need the largest condoms in Europe while Greeks get by on smaller ones, according to a Europe-wide study by a German consultancy that provides advice on condoms.
The study by the Singen-based Institute of Condom Consultancy was done by asking 10,500 men in 25 countries to measure their penis and enter the number into a database.
The results show Frenchmen on average claim to need 15.48 centimeters (6.09 inches) long condoms, about 3 centimeters longer than Greeks, whose condom size requirement was the most modest.
Jan Vinzenz Krause, the Institute's director, told Reuters on Friday the data was collected over a period of eight months.
He did not want to comment on how honest he thought the Frenchmen had been in reporting the data.
The survey was aimed at educating youngsters about the importance of effective contraception.

I have lived with a bass fisherman too long to believe that men can measure accurately.

Uh huh.... Sure.  Pretty much any condom will stretch until it can cover a human head -- I recall a comedian who used to do that.
This has to be Bovine Scatology and psychobabble. I notice that condoms prominently marked LARGE seem to be good sellers in the stores, while there are none marked Medium or Small. Wondery why???
This reminds me of the cold war psych-ops story about the Russians ordering a thousand gross of condoms from Trojan, six inches in diameter and 18 inches long. So Trojan complied, placing a "Medium" label in every carton.
