Default Gannett to buy Tribune Publishing for $388.3 million - and take on all its debt

Debt-plagued Tribune owns LA Times, Chicago Tribune and other papers
Gannett Co, USA Today's owner, is offering to take on $390million debt
So far, Tribune is allegedly refusing to engage in talks over April 12 offer
The firm's fortunes have struggled since forming in August 2014

Sale? Tribune, which owns the Los Angeles Times (offices in LA,
California, pictured), Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, is
valued at around $815 million, including about $390 million of
outstanding debt
Chance favors the prepared mind.
