Default Blue Origin passes its 'toughest test yet' with a successful landing of its in-flight escape pod and booster

Blue Origin has tested the escape system on its New Shepard rocket
Spacecraft has two parts: a rocket booster with a crew capsule on top
Today's test involved ejecting the capsule, which parachuted down
The company said it didn't expect to recover the booster, only the capsule
This was the second time Blue Origin has streamed a rocket launch live

The booster then successfully landed too (pictured) meaning the
test was more successful than the crew had hoped. 'Beautiful,' one
of the crew said, when the booster landed. 'There it is,' another
added. 'There you go New Shepard, look at her!'

Blue Origin was created by internet entrepreneur Jeff Bezos,
who also created Amazon. Pictured, the part of Texas where
Blue Origin is based, and where the test occurred (marked on
the map)
Chance favors the prepared mind.
