Default Land mine-hunting drone aims to rid the world of EVERY ground explosive in under 10 years

Mine Kafon Drone is an unmanned drone that detonates land mines
Not only is it 20x faster than other methods, it is also 200x cheaper
Mine Kafon Drone built with a 3D mapping system, metal detector and robotic gripping arm to identify and detonate mines in dangerous areas

There are an estimated 110 million land mines in the ground
and about 20,000 people are killed or wounded by these hidden
explosions each year. Now a firm is working on a new system
that can clear land mines 20 times faster than the current
technology and rid the world of them in less than 10 years
Chance favors the prepared mind.

Also be good for finding buried firearms.

But detection relies on the land mine having metal content .

In other words , not so useful on ceramic/plastic mines.

IMO it needs an upgrade to ground penetrating radar , which
would probably be difficult due to the amount of power
required .

Seems to me some of those landmines might still serve a purpose...I suspect a good percentage of that total number is in the NK/SK DMZ
