I'm going to order a few and try this out. Would you recommend the powder or capsules?

I'd get the powder, myself. Capsules would be easier I guess, but I just dumped the powder into coffee or tea, or even hot water. I didn't compare the prices on capsules when I was looking.

I put the powder into an inch or two of something hot, whisked it up and then put in enough cold water to be able to chug it fast, then chased it with water.

One of the benefits of working in my profession is access to equipment that you might not otherwise have. I happen to have access to a pellet making jig and a carver press.

(not my picture, but so you have an idea what I'm talking about)

I did a little playing around with making kratom pellets. As a binder I used corn oil at a ratio of 1 part kratom to 0.375 parts oil. After evenly distributing the oil into the powder until you get "fluffy" consistency (mix by hand with a tapered spatula), load the mix into the jig and press at 2 metric tons for 10 seconds. Viola.

Note, the bigger one was a little tough to swallow. I put the pen in the picture to give you an idea of scale. This was a total of 2 grams of kratom between both pellets.

Nifty!! I wish I had something like that when I was experimenting with making my own incense. I ended up packing the dough into a cone tip for a pastry bag.

I've been experimenting again the last couple days and stumbled across a blend that works really well for pain for me.

1/2 Green Malaysian and 1/2 Super Indo, bought from Phytoextractum. This does
not give me the caffeine-like jitters or bother my sleep at all like the others I tried.

Tried the mix the powder with some water and toss it back method. Gross. Lol.

I ordered some empty capsules to "roll my own". Curious how difficult it will be to fill them.

It will be time consuming, that's for sure.

I ordered the Capsule Machine and never used it. I had no problem
drinking the stuff down. Wouldn't want to do more than 2 grams
at a time though.

I have a capsule filler. It works really well but there is a learning curve and it can be time consuming until you get the hang of it. I use it to make my own lemon balm capsules.

Eventually, I gave it up entirely because of the side-effects.

I have found I can't take the Maeng Da. Both the white and red vein make
me jittery and anxious. They give me a headache as well.

I will probably end up giving them away. I think I know someone in town
who would appreciate it.

I have a dentist appt on the 21st but knew I wouldn't last until then, so
I went to the clinics walk-in satellite and got a prescription for amoxicillin to see if that would help.

They took my BP and even in pain and with 3 grams of kratom on board, it
was 114/77.

Half of an atenolol every morning.

I acquired some Maeng Da, and I'm pretty happy with the results. I have not noticed any anxiousness or head aches (did get some headaches with Bali) and my BP was right were it has been when I went to the Dr on Monday.

My work has random drug testing, and my job is listed as a "Safety Sensitive Position" so we're not permitted use of opiate painkillers without review/approval/job modification. Kratom has really done the trick for me during the day.

Okay, I'm sold. I'm going to order some. I've been worried about what may/may not show up in my blood stream since I do occasional work for several school districts. But, after last night, I've got to do something.

Done. Bought Bali and MaengDa - white. I even had to sign a disclosure that I understood that this was not for human consumption. I guess I'll have to relinquish my humanity for the few seconds it will take to swallow a capsule.

Is this something that should be taken during the day because of it's stimulant properties? How stimulating is it compared to coffee?

Maeng Da white vein is very stimulating to me. So is the red vein, and red veins are supposed to be more sedating. I couldn't get to sleep at nap time today because of a half gram of Maeng Da red vein taken about 2 hours earlier. And I NEVER have trouble napping.

Bali is more like, well, like a pain pill to me. Not really too stimulating.

Kratom feels stimulating but not really like coffee at all. It just feels different.

---------- Post added at 05:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:24 PM ----------

If I were you and trying this for the first time, I'd take half Bali and half Maeng Da, see how that affects you.

Thanks drum! They arrived today. I bought the capsules. I'll have to weigh one to see how many grams each contains. I'm a bit nervous about taking it but at the same time, there are times when ibuprofen won't even touch the arthritis pain. I'll wait until I have a flare up and give it a try.

The capsules I bought were 0.1g. I could fit about 0.5 g inside that. Size was 00.

My kitchen scale isn't sensitive enough to weigh individual capsules. The bag of Bali said it contained 28 grams and I counted the capsules and there were 47.

If I had bought capsules, and after experimenting myself, I'd take 2 Bali and 1 Maeng Da the first time. Maeng Da is stronger than Bali, at least what I got from Phytoextractum is. Then you can go up as necessary. Maybe you're not as sensitive to caffeine/stimulants as me and you can tolerate the Maeng Da better.

Was looking at other places that sell empty capsules, and this place has a ton of offerings, even some flavored capsules (grape, orange, coffee, mulberry).
