Well lets see I have survived a pancreatitis I have survived a blood clot I have survived a hole in my stomach I have survived having interbacter in the blood as well as a fungal infection in the blood I'm hoping that I'm done with the hospital for a while so far so good
I spent most of may and the first week of June in the hospital
with the interbacter they said if I had waited a day or two longer I would have been very very sick like blood poisoning sick
they took out my PICC line and tested it and it had 2 bacteria and a fungus growing on the tip
but I am home now hopefully for good sand I get to eat which I havent been able to for a month they were giving me Iv nutrition I have lost 53lbs so far

Dang! Good luck recovering and hang in there. I forgot which bariatric surgery you chose. Sleeve or other?

I know many people that did well with sleeve as long as they stayed away from alcohol afterwards.

Again, heal well!

Talking I lost 100lbs

yep you heard it here folks! I have lost 100lbs I am down 4-5 pants sizes depending on the cut.

My goal is to lose about another 80-100lbs to reach my goal of 175-200lbs

everything is just shedding away including my HAIR eeeek!lol I recently lost whole hanks of hair it was bad. I think it is because I ran out of my bariatric vitamin and wasnt able to get it for about a month but I have it now. and am taking it religously. I am also going to start taking biotin which is necessary for hair and nails luckily I have no bald spots LOL.

I can eat just about anything except spicy foods that still makes my stomach turn a bit. but hopefully that will turn around given time. I still can only eat about 5-6 bites of food then I get full so I am having to eat protein bars from time to time to keep my protein intake up.

even tho I had complications from surgery I would not change my mind. I would do it again in a heartbeat the Sleeve surgery has saved my life! It is very likely unless my husband can loose weight that he will be joining me getting surgery done hed too needs to loose a big chunk of weight.

I am a happy camper!

Huge hugs for you, especially after catching up on this thread & 'remembering' you were having bariatric surgery.

It's probably going to continue to be a process of adjustment for quite some time - your dietary needs will change a bit as you lose more weight. And yes, your vitamins are crucial.

Now let's focus on the positive stuff. What are all the neat things, the improvements in how you feel, look & what you can do since dropping 100 lbs?

KG I am so proud of you! A dr suggested the surgery for me but I take so many meds that there would be times I wouldn't be able to eat because the meds would fill me up.
