The way the wind is blowing through the tree makes the photo, I think.

Nice composition. The Coolpix is a fun camera.

Ari - been to the same place I believe. I was sitting in my rental car trying to see if I could see any bison anywhere. On the crest of a hill I saw a cloud of dust, and then within minutes the entire herd was running toward where I was parked. They crossed the road about 20 feet in front of me, and I was worried about getting broadsided as well. Once in a lifetime experience.

Yeah man. Some car was stopped in the bison area aways ahead and we thought they were just taking photos...until the humongous bison crossed RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR CAR! LOL.

Saw another very close to our car rubbing his face/neck on a post; kind of hilarious. Also saw a huge herd of deer chilling under some cottonwoods, many, MANY rabbits and magpies, Canada goose, lots of prairie dogs. What a blast!!!

Had some similar close enounters at Elk Island national park - we learned that our first dog Daisy, a 10lb bichon, hated them and went crazy barking

Had a couple encounters where we were walking a path and came across one laying across the path ahead of us. OK - we'll go back the way we came now..
