Oh yeah & the problem is growing exponentially. Wiki has us listed 11th in the world for average intake:

I was looking up something having to do with this thread a couple days ago and came across this.

Even though I am about 25# overweight, my BMI (26) is actually below average for women my age and height in this country. "You have a lower BMI than 76% of females aged 60-69 in your country "

And I'm most like someone from Norway. lol

I did the same check & although my BMI is 21 - "perfect", relatively speaking for my age & height, 86% of my age cohort are heavier on Canada, as well as 76% of women my age world wide. Apparently I'd fit right in if I lived in Papua New Gunea.

Boggles my mind.

That's interesting. My bmi is 25. Lower than 80% in the US and 52% world wide and most like someone from France.

After seeing your BMI it made me want to find out mine. I knew that I'm way over weight. My BMI is 119%, most like someone in Tonga. I've lost over 100lbs but have a long way to go.

You've come a long way, Feather. Considering what you're dealing with, concentrating on good nutrition would seem to be most important. You might find it a good distraction LOL.

I wonder how the patient made out?

'500kg' Egyptian woman's sister accuses Indian doctors of lying

The sister of Eman Abd El Aty, an Egyptian woman thought to have been the world's heaviest, has accused doctors of lying about her weight loss after surgery in India.

She underwent surgery in Mumbai's Saifee hospital, and last week doctors said she had lost 250kg (550lbs).

But her sister said this was untrue, adding that her sister was in delicate health as she may have had a stroke.

The hospital has angrily rejected the allegations.

The row began on Monday when Ms Abd El Aty's sister, Shaimaa Selim, released a short video on social media, alleging that her sister was still unable to speak or move, and had not lost as much weight as the hospital was claiming.

On Tuesday, she told the BBC that the hospital was lying about her weight loss.
