If it's any consolation, I had pneumonia when I was 12, was practically bed ridden for an entire month and was fine, kids are tough, hope your DD pulls through completely fine.

I hope she is feeling better soon. Don't let yourself get too run down, so you don't catch it,too. How is your son taking it? He must be really worried also. I hope everything goes well.

I haven't been on a lot and just saw this thread now. Isolation is a scary place but it is good. It is a nice clean room where they can see what if anything develops. We're with you kiddo.

Amber, as a fellow parent, I feel for you & your DH about what you're going through. For what its worth, you have my thoughts and prayers for your daughters speedy recovery and for you to hang in there. Wouldn't it be so much easier on us if we could just be sick for our kids instead of watching them go through it? Take care of yourself too cuz she'd be lost without you there, Anne

I hope she gets well soon Amber. Did you ask about getting Tamiflu? I wouldn't want to wait for the results. Take care.

Good point, I wonder if they automatically gave her tamiflu?

Amber had mentioned at the start of this thread that adenovirus was the original diagnosis. I'll have to go back & check to see if that was presumed or confirmed. There's very little adeno out there right now; not as of Friday's Health Canada respiratory update.

A bit more 'scrambling with sickies' to do here, then I'll check it out.

Damn Amber! I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you don't get it as well, and that DD recovers quickly.

It's getting bad if this is hitting our little community so much now!

Take care.

Hope things are improving for your daughter. Having a child in a hospital is frightening...

Question everything the doctors are doing, and be her advocate...

No but she must be exhausted. I imagine either her husband or herself spent the night at the hospital, they also have at least one other child that I'm aware of & I'm not sure - do both Amberglass & her hubbie work?

Between taking hospital shifts, doing whatever else needs doing & looking after their other child - we're probably low down on the priority list.

I'm hoping that's ALL that's going on - that she's just too busy & fatigued to update us.
