Let's not forget that Carol is still on the loose.

I forgot Carol is still out there & she's not far from where this went down.

It's hard to talk about 'this' without spoilers but I'm trying to be mindful that some may not have seen this yet.

The SO and I are either going to or hosting a viewing party with the neighbors for the season finale. We have the larger tv so I would like to have it here.

90 minute finale - should be epic. I will have snacks, drinks... probably in sippy cups as I tend to - ahem - get overly involved in my TV viewing, tissues...

I'm going to need, NEED, Talking Dead to get me through the after-effects of this finale!

Don't know how the season finale next week will go but there is potential for more than a comfy amount of cliff hangers. The worst cliff hanger? How long must we wait until the next set of episodes? Probably fall...

And Vikings, another one of my absolute favourites... there can't be more than 3-4 episodes left in that.

Thankfully, spring is coming & gardening & fishing & all that fun stuff known as real life should more than amply compensate for my entertainment worlds' lack to not be noticed as much.
Vikings have 16 episodes this season

Tonight's the night.

Negan arrives, and a major character dies.

It sounds like it was shot so that we won't know who died til next season starts.

Default Breathe, Sue... BREATHE!

I had to sit with SO & hold his hand during the last 15 minutes or so of tonight's episode. His bruises might fade by next weekend & we have hopes he'll regain use of his hand in a few weeks.

I have clearly figured out my fight, flight or freeze reaction when confronted with Negan, even over a TV screen, even knowing it's FICTION. Frozen groveling about covers it.

This last season has truly, as they've just said on The Talking Dead, has been the best so far.

WHEN DOES IT COME BACK???

I internalized that episode way too much. I feel physically ill.

Sue, it's usually back just before Hallowe'en, IIRC.

Same here - I felt physically ill. Man, that man, (Negan), can ACT. My heart rate has finally come down & my stomach isn't churning as badly.

Whoever was killed, whatever went down or is going to go down... they've set up one whopper of a season next fall. Carol - lots of issues, Morgan just broke is cardinal rule. Father Gabriel has gone all serious defence...

I keep having to remind myself it's JUST tv... speaks volumes about the uality of not only the acting but all the production values.

I just watched Talking Dead, something I don't usually do. The actor playing Negan (right now he's still Judah to me) said it took 15 HOURS to get that scene, over several nights. I can believe it. With the full lineup there, in character, off screen, no stand-ins. No wonder they looked such a mess. That's dedication.

From what I've seen on Talking Dead & various other interviews - there is a lot of that. They do their best to get in character & stay there, no matter what. It sure makes the close ups in tense situations seem so much more real.

Kudos to Negan... to come in to a show with such fully developed, yet still evolving personas; to come in with such a STRONG presence & no stated, (as of yet), back story & to have to essentially film a soliloquy at night, in the freezing cold with the other actors watching you & a full crew of people with whom you have no relationship yet & to pull it off so well... wow.

Negan's persona has got to be very strong. Some of his crew they panned over look like very tough nuts yet somehow he's charismatic enough to hold them all. I'm fascinated to see how they play that.

And as to the old cast... how will they operate from here? Hold will Negan hold them; keep one or more hostages with the threat of Lucilleing them if the gang doesn't fulfil the mandate of bringing them stuff? Will they manage to break free? That's a very large group of experienced operatives. Maybe some kind of strategic merge between Alexandria & Hilltop...

Then there's the pair Morgan runs into - the 'knights'. Who are they & what's their story.

So many directions for this to go.

I'm still trying to remember who all was grabbed: Rick & Carl, Glenn & Maggie, Eugene & Abraham, Daryl, Mishone, Aaron, Sascha... I've missed a few.

You only missed Rosita. They have about the whole cast, just a few left back in Big A.

I hated that last episode.
I hate such weakness.
They should have started shooting during the many encounters.
NEVER disarm and put yourself at the mercy of the enemy.
DAMN!

I can't actually bring myself to watch this show. I watched the first couple of seasons with my son when he was a teenager but it's just so graphic and hard for me to watch. I still follow the story line though by reading episode re-caps and summaries.
I'm such a wuss! (and yet I play Fall out 4 just fine..guess it's the real life character vs. computer image)

The finale was terrible. Watching eighty minutes of a mouse going through a maze. The mouse would have made better decisions than they did.
I absolutely hate what they did with Carol's character. It isn't very often you get a strong woman portrayed at her age as a central character in a series. They weakened her character simply to have her meet another group? They have injured her before to introduce the group to where Beth was.
The writing has really gone downhill this last season. I am really disappointed in it.

Bleh - I wasn't surprised by who met Lucille but it was grim to see Negan do it

The whole episode was pretty grim, but I have to say that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is having a lot of fun with the villainy of Negan. I did enjoy him a lot.
