I had a hard time watching last night, but I found the group's desperation in last season's finale more disturbing.

The scriptwriters should be fired, together with the director and all other staff that had a say about the content.

I am not into sadism.

Pretty much what I suspected and it was disturbing as it made me really think about what could be dun to a person like Negan if he was in my my control...as in a few weeks of getting him acquainted with the intricacies of his nervous system---of course after being permanently hobbled/crippled/blinded to not pose a further threat.

And there it is---a television show made me think of the most horrific ways imaginable to torture someone which is pretty fucked up.

What the hell was this episode. I think this is it for the show.

BTW, good article here:

The Walking Dead Quitter’s Club: goodbye for real
We're done

...
This wasn’t quality television, and it wasn’t suspenseful drama. It was torture-porn masquerading as storytelling, and AMC should be ashamed for airing it.

....

It would be one thing if AMC employed some self-awareness and went all-in on turning its property into the type of campy TV that knows it’ll never be highbrow. Instead, we have a show that pretends it’s artful and bold. TWD is neither.

....

It was following the graphic novels storyline, was it not? Perhaps it was a touch too graphic for tv, however I've read that this event's brutality is a "pivot point" in the story for the main characters, so I can understand how the brutality needed to be conveyed in some way to make the character changes believable.

DD made a point that every episode displays this type of visual gory grotesqueness, however because it happened to loved characters, the emotional attachment has everyone up in arms. I would tend to agree.

That said, DD had to watch from behind her hands.

I was ready for a death - we were well warned. The second one... SO later, (smugly), informed me I completely lost it. Thank goodness we had our windows closed because I know I was shouting at Darryl to cool it when he lunged at Negan.
The actor playing Negan - props to him for 2 episodes where his personality as a character totally dominated. Props to 'Rick' as well - portrayed a completely broken man very well.

Bye-bye to ?
Sasha?

The Walking Dead star Sonequa Martin-Green has reportedly landed the lead role in the new Star Trek TV series.

She plays survivor Sasha Williams in the post-apocalyptic TV series, which is currently on its seventh season.

But the Star Trek role could mean Sasha's time on the show will come to an end.

And when it's a show about flesh-eating zombies, those ends don't tend to be particularly pleasant.

Same here... I had to miss the last 2 episodes just passed. Hopefully, they're repeated soon - well before the next half season.

Damned straight! I ended up missing the last 3 episodes of the previous season so I'm binge watching last season now.

Rick's not kicking anything tonight. They're going to need a few episodes to start organizing.

Okay, is anyone else bored?
And why is everyone starving? Haven't they figured out that kudzo is edible?
