Exclamation Russian Nuclear Detonation?

This is an interesting read - even the comments section. Bottom line, there are indications that Russia may have tested a battle field nuke in the Arctic as indicated by elevated levels of radioactivity in several countries.

I suspect a leak of some sort rather than a detonation. That would leave tell-tale signs behind such as seismic tremors even if it were entirely below ground.

Our map looks pretty good here at the moment.

It is color coded. The numbers only indicate how many stations are covered by the color coded dot.

I read about this last noght, and many comments. One of the comments on the above link mentions if this was a detonation, there would have been other measurable isotopes, like Cesium and Strontium, with longer half lives. Spec it was from a pharma plant.

Likely, western authorities really don't know at this point. Leakage from a research lab seems very likely (see, for example, Hungary 2011).

Only below ground detonations create seismic shocks.., (Possibly LARGE weapons can create a seismic disturbance if detonated above ground) But above ground, would be detected by satellite "FLASH" detectors.
