Default weightloss surgery part 2

since I am now going into the diet and surgery aspect I thought I would continue here.

I have started the liquid diet yesterday... this is harder than I thought. I broke down 3 times just at the thought of having a meal. now I am up at 0324 just finished having some broth and a fudgecicle. sometimes I wanna quit but thats dumb I have come so far jumping thru all the hoops and needing this done for health benefits.

Once surgery is done I keep the liquid diet for 2 more weeks before I can add a few things in like eggs and cottage cheese.

Thanks for listening

We just had a relatively young, obese patient drop dead over-night. It really shocked us all, and drove home how important it is to take care of ourselves. We have to do it for ourselves. This is your step in the right direction. It takes one step at a time. Remember, the first bite of something that is bad for you, is the only one you have to resist.

Surgery is done. Pain level was thru the roof, took three doses of morphine and one dilaudid to bring it under control. Walked three laps around the halls so far. Will keep you updated.

That first day day I did an additional 15 laps! 2 second day they sent me home around 330 which was nice I am still so tired and this is the 3 rd day post op...
I am using the pain meds per script every 4 hours so that doesnt help with tiredness.... I cant lay in my bed normally I need to be propt up but it makes my butt go to sleep so then I am waking back up to move or shift my fanny..

FYI on this 5 days of liquid diet I lost 21 lbs that about the same as a car tire

I am waiting for food tho it will only be eggs and cottage cheese type things it is easier to do the liquids than it was in the beginning.

I am having alot of pain from how I drink I dont sip right so I take in too much air and cause gas bubbles which cause pain but I am learning slowly

well things have not been going well. I just got out of the hospital for having a hole in my stomach, a blood clot, and pancreatitis.

I currently have a PIC line delivering Iv nutrition which I am hungry all the time and I am supposed to do this for 3 weeks and I dont think I can.
all I can have is sips of water and ice I feel ike my stomach is eating itself

I'm so sorry you are having such a miserable rotten time of it now. You have been through so much already it isn't fair that you should have more weeks ahead of you!

Just want you to know that I admire you tremendously for your strength and courage all during this trip to major weight loss. I know it's hard going right now, but it's worth it in the long run, isn't it?

Hang in there! All your friends are pulling for you, sending healing thoughts and prayers and holding you close now.

HUGS!!!.
